Caring for Orphans in Hyderabad

On their recent trip to Asia, Lance & Christie Thollander made a spent two days with Sheba Sunayana and Compassion for Orphans in Hyderabad. This was one of the highlights of their trip. Sheba and her team care for close to 100 abandoned, abused and orphaned boys and girls on their four acre property on the outskirts of Hyderabad. As Sheba tells it, each of these children has a story of sadness that eventually brought them to her doorstep. Over the past seven years she has welcomed all who needed a loving home.

Today CFO provides them with both a home and an education in an environment that lifts up the saving Name of Jesus and introduces all of them to his love. In addition, Sheba has hired a team of teachers and has official permission from the government to have a school on the property. The needs remain palpable.

While we were able to provide them with a water buffalo and a female calf from which they will get milk to drink, support is strongly needed to provide them with a permanent wall to protect the property, funds to purchase a vehicle, a generator for power during the frequent power outages, equipment for farming the land and increased regular sponsorship support. We heartily endorse the work that Sheba is doing in Hyderabad.
