Churches and denominations differ in structure, theology and practice. Yet there seems to be one thing they all agree on: believers need to have a Bible. Bibles for Believers received gifts from or were able to hold Bible Days in churches from 24 different denominations and several independent churches during 2008.

And in that same spirit of unity, Christians from all denominations can participate in raising funds to purchase Bibles for African believers. Your personal involvement can make a real difference and help provide many Bibles for our needy brothers and sisters.

Projects run the gamut from smaller ones that can be accomplished by individuals – such as using your creative skills like baking or painting to create items to sell, or hosting home meetings to share Bibles for Believers’ story – to large scale projects such as “Bible dinners” or golf tournaments. Whatever you choose to do, the funds raised will put Bibles in the hands of those who are currently without the Word of God.

Another way to help is to join Bibles for Believers (B4B) as they distribute Bibles in Southern Africa. Bibles for Believers partners are welcome to go with them when they take Bibles into Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

In July, B4B is travelling to Malawi on a Bible placement. This is a great opportunity for Christians to see what God is doing in Africa. Bibles for Believers, in partnership with Harvesters International Ministries (HIM), will be reaching out to villages in southern Malawi with the hope of placing several thousand Bibles. New churches will be planted and thorough follow-up will be done by the extensive HIM hub network.
